Utah Child Support Debit Cards

by Norris Law Group on April 17, 2014

If you have been awarded child support payments as part of a Utah divorce settlement, the Utah Department of Human Services offers an optionUtah-EPPICard which allows you to receive child support payments via direct deposit rather than having to deal with “checks in the mail.” Utah has partnered with EPPIcard to offer recipients of child support in Utah a debit card onto which payments may be deposited. This card may then be used as any other debit card. The cards also include the MasterCard logo, and may be used at any merchant which accepts MasterCard credit cards.

Some of the benefits associated with the Utah Debit Card include:

  • Personal PIN (Personal Identification Number) to protect your account
  • No bank account needed
  • No check cashing fees
  • No lost or stolen checks
  • No waiting for checks to come in the mail
  • No waiting for deposits to clear into your bank account
  • Access to your money throughout the month
  • Access to funds while traveling
  • Balance and account information available 24/7/365
  • A toll free number (1-800-241-9499) if you have any questions
  • Free balance inquiry and transaction history at www.eppicard.com
  • Your account is protected by your Personal Identification Number (PIN)

The Utah Debit Card is welcome at most:

  • Banks and ATM’s
  • Grocery stores
  • Clothing, department, and discount stores
  • Gas and convenience stores
  • Doctors’ offices
  • Restaurants, drug stores and pharmacies

For more information or to request a card, call 1-800-241-9499 or access the Utah EPPIcard website.
